Sailing holidays

If you are looking for a sailing holiday why not try Sardinia, a paradise for both beginners and advanced sailors. There is sufficient wind and crystal clear seawater. The varied east coast of Sardinia has beautiful bays and beaches that are accessible by boat.

Varuna sailing course

AmfibieTreks offers sailing courses in accordance with the internationally recognised VDWS system. In 3 days you learn the basics of sailing in an open boat, type Varuna 500. The course lasts for total of 9 hours (3 hours a day) at the end of which it is possible to obtain the official VDWS certificate. Amfibie Treks uses modern transmitters, which allow the instructor to be in constant contact with his pupils. This ensures maximum safety and speed of learning.

Wind and water

The “Scirocco” wind blows most days in the bay of Santa Lucia, in the mornings 2-3 Beaufort and in the afternoons 4-5 Beaufort. The surface of the water is usually beautifully calm in the summer months, ideal circumstances for beginners. The water temperature is usually warm enough to sail without a wetsuit. If it should be too chilly for you then AmfibieTreks has wetsuits available.

Catamaran sailing course

If you are already an experienced sailor or if you would like to learn more after completing the Varuna sailing course you can put your name down for the Catamaran sailing course.

Sailing camp Santa Lucia

There is a special sailing camp for sailors aged around 18-30 years old on campsite Santa Lucia. If you are travelling alone a sailing holiday is a pleasant way to make contact with other participants. Guests who stay at campsite Mandras are taken to the sailing course on the beach at Santa Lucia and are taken back to Mandras after the sailing.
