Getting to Sardinia
The Amfibie Treks campsite Cala Pineta-Mandras lies at the most beautiful part of the east coast of Sardinia, about 45 minutes driving from the airport of Olbia.
Airports and ports
Sardinia has 3 international airports, Olbia, Alghero and Cagliari. Various low cost airlines fly from the UK to Sardinia. (Please click on Flights for more information). New routes often become available so we try to keep the list up to date. If we have missed any, please let us know. The most important ports are Olbia, Porto Torres and Golfo Aranci. You can take the night boat from Genua and Livorno and the day boat from Civitavecchia and Piombino (Please click on Ferry for more information). There are car rental companies at the airports and also at the ferry terminals. (Please click on Car for more information).
Transfers to the campsites
The east of Sardinia has no trains and the buses are not always reliable. AmfibieTreks offers return transfers from and to the three main airports: Olbia, Alghero and Cagliari and from and to the ports of Olbia and Golfo Aranci.
Car rental
If you would like to see more of Sardinia on your holiday and would like to go wherever you wish than we recommend that you rent a car. Car rental in advance is usually cheaper. The airports have many reasonable cheap car rental companies. It is also possible to rent a car when you are at the campsite.
